Versar's prehistoric and historical archaeologists have extensive expertise in the full range of survey, evaluation, and mitigation projects.

All project managers have directly-related graduate degrees, are experienced in project management and the regulatory process, and exceed the Secretary of Interior's standards for conducting investigations. Senior field staff members are OSHA-trained and certified in CPR and First Aid.

From fieldwork through technical report production, Versar archaeologists employ state-of-the-art technologies such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS) applications for sensitivity modeling, Global Positioning Satellites (GPS) for mapping, digital photography, and a variety of electronic graphics applications.
