Versar's 40+ year history began with environmental site characterization and environmental planning for remediation and restoration projects before state and federal environmental regulations were established or widespread in the late 1960s. We have completed complex, high profile restoration projects across the US and worldwide for the EPA, the US Army Corps of Engineers, the Navy, the National Guard Bureau, the US Air Force, and commercial/private clients – to name a few. Our work is executed successfully in the most stringent – and oftentimes political – regulatory environments and in those where no environmental cleanup guidance has existed.

From interim measures and facility investigations under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) to remedial investigations and feasibility studies under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), Versar’s scientists and engineers have investigated sites, devised innovative remedial strategies, and engineered/constructed solutions for hazardous waste sites – both large and small.
