Time
Responsibilities:
Perform all procurement activities to support construction
projects. Activities include preparation of Scopes of Work,
Statement of Work, Requests for Proposals, Request for Bids,
Request for Purchase Order, payment schedule of values, specifications,
and other procurement documents. Identify and qualify bidders/vendors
for procurement documents. Identify and qualify bidders/vendors
for procurements. Evaluate bids and make selection recommendations.
Work with the Versar Contracts section to make subcontract
awards. Assist in the preparation of change order requests
to Versar prime contracts and in evaluating change order requests
from Versar subcontractors.
Experience
Requirements: Five years in construction procurement.
Experience with construction management desirable.
Skills
Requirements: Sound knowledge of construction practices
and division of scopes among various trades. Knowledge of
bonding and surety notes and insurance requirements for subcontractors
required. Ability to negotiate on company's behalf with subcontractors.
Ability to procure construction materials, equipment and subcontractors
in accordance with the FAR and DFAR. Ability to use R.S. Means
and MS Project software very desirable.
Education
Requirements: B.A. or B.S. or equivalent relevant experience
in the procurement field.
