Responsibilities:

Versar is seeking a Manager of Corporate Compliance. This individual will provide company-wide leadership in all areas of corporate compliance, including quality assurance, health & safety matters, and policies and procedures development. He or she will have the following responsibilities:

• Manage the corporate compliance function, including quality assurance, corporate policies and procedures and health & safety. Assist the General Counsel in ensuring compliance with all Company policies and procedures, including health & safety programs.
• Revise, oversee and routinely update the company-wide assurance program. Participate in the Company’s Program Management Office’s efforts to support and ensure compliance by the company’s project managers.
• Help develop and comprehensive set of company-wide policies and procedures, including revising existing policies and procedures, create new policies and develop and conduct training programs. Revise and maintain the Company’s Code of Conduct and ethics program.
• Manage the operational and administrative aspects of the Corporate Health & Safety Program, including Versar’s Workers Compensation Program, medical monitoring program; draft and maintain the Corporate Heath & Safety Plan; and conduct periodic audits of Versar’s facilities and work sites.
• Provide technical leadership and functional guidance to operating units and their personnel to ensure health & safety standards are being met. This includes the Company’s chemical biological, environmental and construction operations. Compile all necessary reports for all regulatory agencies and identify and control all significant loss producing exposures.
• Travel periodically to United States and international locations.

Experience Requirements:

• Experience or knowledge of various compliance requirements affecting government contractors or engineering/construction businesses.
• Knowledge of OSHA, MIL-Q requirements, environmental, laboratory, ISO-9000 and chemical and biological requirements.
• Training experience in some or all of the above areas.
• Experience in hazardous waste, chemical and biological operations a plus. Health & Safety, environmental and other certifications desirable but not required.
• Secret or Top Secret clearance highly desirable.

Education Requirements:

• Requires a BS/BA degree or equivalent and a minimum of five (5) years total experience in any combination in the following areas: regulatory compliance, health & safety, environmental compliance, or regulatory and quality control practices. Advance degree or training helpful.
