Employment Status: Full Time

Location:  Germantown, MD

Versar, an internationally recognized consulting firm is seeking a senior technical leader in the area of greenhouse gas/carbon management for its Germantown, Maryland office.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Ability to manage energy related Greenhouse Gas (GHG) efforts, conduct value-added GHG studies, develop GHG strategies, inventories, etc.
Responsible for marketing GHG services and integrating those services with air services
The candidate will be involved in supporting business development in our greenhouse gas (GHG) practice along with providing some technical oversight on GHG related projects.

Experience/Skills Requirements:

5-10 years experience in carbon management/GHG, energy efficiency, renewable energy and energy-related projects
Experience with protocols developed by California Climate Action Registry and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development and others
Good understanding of CDM/EU ETS process
This position will require demonstrated business development skills, strong interpersonal skills and high self-motivation

Should understand TCR, International GHG protocols, and energy protocols

Education Requirement:

BS Engineering preferred
