The Versar team consists of a group of national companies and small innovative
businesses dedicated to responsiveness and customer satisfaction. This
is shown by our repeat Navy/USMC and DoD business record which is an indication
of a team that the customer can rely on. For example, Versar has been
a key company of choice for sustainment, wartime readiness, Title II services
and quality assurance for the US military & civilians overseas. Our
work is also noted in homeland defense (CBRN, AT/FP) and in professional
services to support naval installations worldwide. Our team can respond
to any number of SeaPort-e needs including engineering, logistics, disaster
response, operations research type efforts, disposal, R&D and more.
The Versar Team consists of:
• ELS
• ALION Science and Technology
• Davis Defense Group
• Systems Applications and Technologies, Inc. (SA-TECH)
• DTI Associates
Our team members were selected based on the following six specific criteria:
1) Performance related to USN, USMC and other DoD/Federal programs with
particular emphasis on the qualities of responsiveness and customer satisfaction
as noted above.
2) Ability to offer a wide-range of Navy/USMC experience and other DoD
experience including sustainment, logistics, RDT&E, reliability and
wartime readiness type support.
3) Ability to provide fresh experience from the Navy/USMC and from other
DoD agencies
4) Staff that have direct military experience either by being officers
or via direct work with USN/USMC/DoD over a period of time. “We’ve
been there”.
5) Small, disadvantaged and other category businesses on our team that
are doing cutting-edge work
6) Solid existing business relationships within the team and from each
teaming partner to Versar such that team management/subcontractor relationships
are excellent and our team “can hit the ground running”.
Of particular note is that Versar Team staff have worked together in
the past both within the team and from teaming partner to teaming partner.
This means that corporate and personal relationships have formed and these
serve to enhance responsiveness to SeaPort-e tasking.
We believe the Versar Team provides the optimal mix of small and large
businesses to help the SeaPort-e mission continue to succeed—and
to satisfy your contract needs.
