Versar Global Solutions Awarded $18M RIPE Modification to Advance Expeditionary Engineering in the Pacific Through Digital Transformation

WASHINGTON, DC — Versar Global Solutions (Versar) is proud to announce the award to expand the use of the Rapid Integration Planning and Engineering (RIPE) Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) which will enhance readiness in contested environments. This milestone reflects Versar’s continued commitment to supporting the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) and, specifically, the Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC), in concert with the United States Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM), in delivering innovative digital solutions for troop-led expeditionary engineering and construction requirements.
RIPE is a pioneering digital prototype designed to accelerate troop-led reconnaissance, planning, design, and construction efforts across the Pacific theater. By integrating diverse data sources into a unified digital engineering workflow, RIPE empowers Naval Construction Force personnel and other uniformed engineering units to operate effectively in remote, austere, and logistically constrained environments. The tool supports a wide range of mission-specific scenarios, including airfield and port development, utilities infrastructure, and Joint Logistics Support Areas.
This modification enables deployment of RIPE capabilities, including new data acquisition efforts and construction planning support in locations such as the Republic of Palau and the Republic of the Philippines. These efforts are instrumental in actualizing the Poseidon Corollary—a strategic initiative to modernize and digitize expeditionary engineering processes in support of INDOPACOM’s deterrence posture.
Jim Jaska, Chairman and CEO of Versar, stated, “We are honored to continue our partnership with the United States Navy, NAVFAC EXWC, and INDOPACOM. The RIPE initiative exemplifies the power of collaboration and innovation in advancing national security objectives. This award reinforces our shared commitment to equipping our troops with the tools they need to plan and build with speed, precision, and resilience in the Pacific.”
Versar is honored that NAVFAC EXWC chose our transformative technology and remains dedicated to supporting the full life cycle of expeditionary engineering and construction through cutting-edge digital solutions.
