Water Quality Modeling
Versar has several decades of experience studying water quality, hydrological analysis, and modeling. We develop site-specific models to support county, state, and federal projects such as storm water management models for county watershed planning and restoration programs. We also develop TR20/55 and HEC-RAS modeling for hydrologic and hydraulic assessments and implement customized versions of the Watershed Treatment Model for watershed and TMDL studies and integrate the models with GIS data analysis. Other water quality modeling work includes developing mixing zone and other custom models for the State of Maryland and USACE.
Storm Water Management Models – Developed storm water management models for Fairfax County, Virginia and Frederick County, Maryland.
TR20/55 – Development impacts and BMP mitigation for Frederick County, Maryland and the CIA.
Watershed Treatment Models – Watershed planning and TMDL compliance for Montgomery and Howard counties, Maryland.
Mixing Zone Modeling – USACE
Mixing Zone Modeling Validation – State of Maryland
